Overview
Skilling Youth requires trained professionals to shape the young minds for tomorrow.
Under the Hub and Spoke model, WSC Academy Supports all ITI, Polytechnics and other skill training institutes of the state by imparting Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme in the area of Pedagogy strategies, Assessment Techniques, Curriculum Design. Apart from the above signature courses, we have also initiated training in advanced teaching strategies like Differentiated Instruction & Differentiated Assessment, Task Based Learning, Blended Learning, Use of Digital and ELearning tools etc which will deepen the teaching skills of faculty members.
Objective
Training of Trainer programmes play a vital role in improving the overall quality of teaching as it empowers the trainers with the best educational strategies from around the world and help them incorporate student centred learning. - # Pedagogy (Foundation) and Assessment (Foundation) are the two flagship ToT programmes. The Key learning outcomes of ToT -Pedagogy (Foundation) are (a) Preparation of lesson plan using Gagnes 9 event, (b) Content analysis Map and (c) Learner centered Learning activities. Similarly the key outcomes of the ToT- Assessment (Foundation) are a) preparing of Higher order thinking Questions based on Blooms Taxanomy and b) Preparing of detailed Rubrics for assessment.

WSC- LRC caters to the need of the entire WSC community by providing a pleasant learning environment with ample no. of learning resources which are an attraction amongst all. The LRC is well-stocked with the latest collection of books, journals, magazines, and other resources, caters to the needs of both students and staff who can search for resources through the LRC website and mobile applications. They also use it for services such as book renewal and reservation. Along with these, there are other facilities like discussion rooms , A.V Rooms and thesis rooms where learners will have the chance to engage in collaborative learning while working in groups.
A unique feature which makes WSC LRC stand out in comparison to any other library is the AR / VR Facility where students can get immersive learning experience through Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality for domain trades as well as Life Skills. self-learning packages on respective technical domains and life-skill modules enable students to practice their competencies via virtual and augmented reality platforms.
